MACTA has officially split into two – the official group in support of Vinayan and the other who oppose Vinayan. The week had also seen the majority support that was with Vinayan, disintegrating into a minority, with all the important technicians shifting their interest to the group of popular directors. The Artists association AMMA is also openly backing the majority of popular directors who left MACTA.
The representatives from FEFSI (Film Employees Association of South India) and IFEA (Indian Film Employees Association) who met Dileep in Aluva as a last try to clear off the blemishes, couldn’t get into any amicable solutions, as Dileep didn’t yielded to talk in behalf of AMMA. Instead he just tried to furnish his personal opinions on the matter.
Meanwhile the dissident fraction who came out from MACTA, has announced the formation of a new organization by the end of this week. The name and bylaw of the new organization will be announced this week itself, said K Madhu, Sibi Malayail , Siddhique and Renji Panikar in a press meeting.
