The special selection committee headed by P T Kunjumuhammed has finalised the 14 films to be shown in the competition section of International film festival of Kerala. The section will include 4 films from India, including Malayalam films like ‘Madhyavenal’ and ‘Sufi Paranja Katha’. The other Indian films in the section include ‘Road To Sangam’ and ‘Do Paise Ki Dhoop’, ‘Char Aane Ki Barish’.
The other movies included in the section are Zahar (Algeria-France), Homero Mansi (Argentina), Isulu Lami (S.Africa), Jermal (Indonesia), Derbere Ye Ille( Iran), La Mosca in La Zenisa (Argentina) The Treeless mountain (S.Africa-Ameroica), Birzan Saal (Kazakhistan), True Noon (Tajakisthan) and Orada (Turkey). Eight films including ‘Keralavarma Pazhasiraja’, ‘Kerala Café’, Ramanam, Orkkuka Vallapozhaum, Rithu, Pakal Nakshatrangal, Patham Nilayile Theevandi and Bhoomi Malayalam will be shown in various sections of the years festival.
